Mermaid on my Hood

Over the years my car has experienced some bumps and bruises but still runs very well and will be my car until it can't possibly drive anymore (which will hopefully be awhile). A few years ago someone borrowed my car and ran into a deer. It ruined the hood, one headlight, and rear view mirror. I'm sad to say that I can't imagine the deer lived. The person who did it had the hood replaced but it only had primer on it. Over the years it has turned rusty. I have been wanting to paint the hood for awhile now, and yesterday I finally did! Here it is:

I also decided to reveal the secret of the Longhorn Texas Mermaid ( a mermaid who is horrified by bipeds who mistreat cattle and other animals and develops a craving to eat man meat), so that is what I painted on the hood. I told Brandt about it, and he agreed to write a short story about her. We both brainstormed and not too long later I finished a painting and Brandt finished the story! We are currently putting a book together and making limited edition copies. It would be so cool to see if this legend spreads someday.

I painted this yesterday with oils.
